The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland ratified the World Heritage Convention on 29 May, 1984. As of May 2010, it has 28 World Heritage Sites, of which 23 are in the cultural category, four in the natural category and one in the mixed category. the United Kingdom also has another 15 sites on the World Heritage Tentative List.
