Senegal ratified the World Heritage Convention on 13 February, 1976. As of June 2010, it has five World Heritage Sites, of which three are in the cultural category and two in the natural category. One of the sites in the natural category is also on the list of World Heritage in Danger. Senegal also has another y sites on the World Heritage Tentative List.
