Haus der Natur is the Museum of Natural History of Salzburg, Austria. It is located at Museumplatz 5, within the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Old Town. The site was formerly a nunnery of the Ursuline Sisters. The Haus der Natur is spread over five levels and has over 90 rooms, displaying a huge variety of wildlife.
The different rooms attempt to simulate the natural surroundings as closely as possible. The two main highlights are the aquarium and the reptile sections.
The aquarium comprises 42 display tanks showcasing marine life from all over the world. Visitors can view the daily feeding of octopus, piranhas and archer fish, among others.
