Ceský Krumlov is a historical town in the Czech Republic. It is located in the South Bohemian region, and is best known for its fine architecture, especially of its historic centre. Ceský Krumlov is an outstanding example of a medieval European town, where the architecture has been well preserved to flourish and evolve over the past five centuries. Of particular interest is the castle, which is the second largest in the Czech Republic.

Ceský Krumlov was founded in the late 13th century. It was on an important trade route in Bohemia. The town and its castle belonged to the House of Rosenberg until 1602, when Emperor Rudolf II bought it, and gave it to his natural son Julis d'Austria. The town and its castle passed through the hands of several ruling houses. The structures in the old town exhibit mostly the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles.

The core of the historic town of Ceský Krumlov is within a horseshoe bend of the Vltara river, with the old Latrán neighborhood on the other side of the river.

The Historic Centre of Ceský Krumlov was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site during the 16th session of the World Heritage Committee in Santa Fe, USA, on 7-14 December, 1992.
